Trump Calls It Right In Alabama!

December 13, 2017 by Trump Recall Newsroom

Republican Roy Moore was defeated in his bid for the US Senate seat of Alabama last night in a tough race against Democratic opponent Doug Jones. The Republican’s campaign was riddled with accusations of sexual improprieties which appeared to impact the outcome.

Republican Candidate Roy Moore

President Trump, an early supporter of Moore’s Republican adversary Luther Strange in the primary, the president quickly switched his allegiance to Moore once Strange’s campaign petered out.

Not to be seen as backing a loser a second time, Trump is reported by CNN to have said “If last night’s election proved anything, it proved that we need to put up GREAT Republican candidates to increase the razor thin margins in both the House and Senate.”

Alabama Senatorial Winner Doug Jones

The implication by the president is that Moore was a weak candidate. However, after Strange lost his Republican primary bid, Trump joined the Moore bandwagon without skipping a beat. In September the president Tweeted “Spoke to Roy Moore of Alabama last night for the first time. Sounds like a really great guy who ran a fantastic race,” He continued to write “He will help to #MAGA!”

The president appears constitutionally unable to accept defeat. How long before his adherents realize he is not the perennial winner for whom they thought they were voting?

The president did not elaborate on the latter part of his comment.
